2025-2026 Officer Team

What’s up Salinas FFA! My name is Grayson Abbott and I am serving as your 2025-2026 Chapter President. This is my third and sadly final year serving as an officer with Salinas FFA as I will be graduating in May. The past three years of being on the officer team have been full of some of my favorite memories both with fellow officers and with our members. The FFA is something that I have grown to love and I want to promote all of the amazing things that FFA has to offer to our members. Our chapter should feel like a home to all of our members. I personally am going to be here all year making sure that everyone feels that they have a place within our chapter. I want to encourage everyone to have fun this year and try something new. I would not be here and would not have created so many amazing memories and friendships if I never took a leap of faith and applied to be an officer my sophomore year. So this year let’s all step outside of our comfort zone and make this the best year here at Salinas FFA! 

Hey, Salinas FFA! My name is Sadie Word, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as your 2025-2026 Vice President. As I enter my senior year of high school I am also entering my fourth year as a member of Salinas FFA. Over the past three years, I’ve gained experience through FFA planning committees, constant attendance at FFA meetings, raising livestock, and participation in other FFA activities. When I’m not in my FFA jacket, you can usually find me at the beach, playing sports, or enjoying time with family and friends. My goal this year is to make sure everyone feels welcome and a part of our chapter alongside planning fun meetings. I can't wait to have an unforgettable year together!

Hey Salinas FFA! My name is Kai Atkins and I will be serving as your 2025-2026 chapter Secretary! As a Sophomore, this is my second year as an FFA member. My duties as your Secretary is to keep accurate meeting minutes and help make meetings run smoothly. I am in charge of keeping minutes, correspondence within our chapter, clear communication with our faculty and members, and most importantly creating sign ups on Google classroom to keep you involved! Outside of my blue jacket I raise and show pigs all throughout California, and occasionally venture out of state. I am extremely passionate about showing pigs just like I am to serve the Salinas FFA community. As well as being an FFA chapter officer, I will also be serving as the Monterey Bay Section Vice President! I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve Salinas FFA as well as our section. My main priority is to keep our meetings fun and running smoothly. I can’t wait to get to know everyone and to serve our chapter!

Hey Salinas FFA! My name is Andrea Davila and I'm going to be serving as your upcoming 2025-2026 chapter treasurer. In this role I will maintain our budget and financial responsibilities as well as making sure our meetings have a positive environment! This will be my second year in ag and first year as an officer, I couldn't be more grateful to have an opportunity such as this and I hope to continue my years in FFA being an officer. I've participated in public speaking competitions such as creed which is what really sparked my interest in becoming more involved. Outside of my FFA jacket you will usually find me spending time with friends and family. I've also dedicated my time to playing three sports; basketball, flag football, and swimming! I'm beyond ecstatic to serve you all this year and look forward to getting to know everybody and growing our community! 

Hey Salinas FFA! My name is Emerson Hostert and I will be serving as your 2025-2026 chapter Reporter. I am a sophomore here at Salinas high school and this is my second year in Ag but first year as an officer. Last year I participated in opening and closing which really sparked my interest in FFA, from there I went on to compete in creed even making it to regionals, BIG, and other things. When I'm not in my jacket you can find me traveling all over the country. I’ve been showing livestock since 4th grade and I started getting competitive in 6th grade. You can always find me hanging out with friends, traveling, and trying new things. This year as reporter I plan to catch all the fun memories of Salinas FFA and show everyone how amazing our FFA chapter truly is. I am beyond excited that I got the opportunity to have this position, I can’t wait to serve as your reporter and meet everybody!

Hi Salinas FFA! My name is Chance Henderson and I am looking forward to serving our chapter as the 2025-2026 Sentinel this year! This is my first year as an officer and second as an FFA member. Outside of school, I love to tinker with my minibike, help out my parents with our large amount of yard work, and on the weekends, I go to work with my dad. I am involved with FFA in speaking competitions and going to conferences that can help me better my FFA chapter. I am also looking forward to more opportunities in the organization as I move forward with my high school career. The position of being the sentinel I think is a good place for me as I try to keep things organized in my daily life as well as at school. The position of sentinel is largely based on keeping our materials neat and organized and making sure that we have everything we need for events we host. I am glad I was presented this opportunity to work with such a fantastic team for this school year!
